In case it's not obvious, this is Avery......

 She's definitely a goofball. Quirky and silly and random in her own Avery way, which makes the day interesting. Never a dull moment! She "tiptoes and sneaks up on me and yells SURPRISE!!!!" She "freezes" when you tell her to and her little hands go up to the appropriate velociraptor position. When you want her to stop running away you can't yell STOP! like an ordinary parent. No. You have to say, "ESPADA!" - which isn't even the Spanish word for stop. Who knows what it is. I looked it up and I think it's sword. Whatever. It makes her stop running.

And then there's my Morgan, who is, perhaps a bigger horse lover than I EVER was - you have no idea how much it runs her life. She pretends to be the horses that she rides, the horses in the movie Spirit, the horses NEXT to the horses that they ride. She spent most of her day today being a horse, and as the night came to a close, she wanted a feather in her hair like the horse, Rain.

How adorable is this?!?!?!

Then there's this...she said she wanted a hoof up in the air....

Then some up in the air hoofing!

And finally, as she called it, her "confused look!!"

Regardless, please note the beautifully clean hair with the purple feather! Beautiful!!!!

Avery's Quote of the Day

The scenario:

Morgan and I are ponies and we are in her room playing on the bed. Avery is watching tv in front of us. We literally didn't say anything to her for at least ten minutes as she stared, mesmerized, by Dora and Boots. Then, she unexpectedly walked out of the room. I didn't think anything of it at first, until she came storming back in the room.....

Avery: YOU GUYS ARE MAKING ME SO GRUMPY!

But it came out more like this:

YOUUUUU..........GUYYYSSSSSSS........ARRRRRRE.......MAKINGGGGGGG.......MEEEEEEE......SOOOOOOOOOOOO......GRUMPYYYYYYYYYYY!

Me: (Smiling and smirking) Gee, Avery. Why?

I will continue to spell normally, but please remember how elongated and deliberate and loud she was. there was utter fury on her little face.

Avery: BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE MAKING ME SO MAD AND GRUMPY!

Me: But WHY?

Avery: BECAUSE!!!! YOU GUYS ARE MAKING ME SO GRUMPY AND MAD AND GRUMPY AND MAD!

ME: We are making you mad? What made you mad?

Avery: BECAUSE YOU GUYS INTERRUPTED ME AND YOU'RE MAKING ME SO MAD AT YOU GUYS!

Me: When did we interrupt you??

Avery: I'M WATCHING MY SHOW AND YOU GUYS INTERRUPTED ME AND THAT MAKES ME SO GRUMPY AND MAD AT YOU BECAUSE IT'S....SO............RUUUUUUDE!!!!!

Morgan: Mommy, Avery's crazy.

Me: Yeah, Morgan. I know!

I could only laugh at her at that point! What else is there to say?!
