Burning Ironies...and More Ponies (of course)

Don't hate me for the English-y stuff. It's part of my blood and existence, and if you don't like it (or get it), then we are not friends.

First, let's REJOICE in the fact that Avery did NOT wake up at 6:17am today. I did, though. I fed the dogs, let them out, farted around, and went back to sleep, fully expecting little crazy girl to wake up any minute and have a World War Z breakdown, as usual. But..........um, no. She slept until 8:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy shit and shenanigans! Yes!!!!!!! Blessing, much?!?!?!

And she woke up in a great mood. She has a toy tiger and lambie. Hence the William Blake reference. If you're not familiar with it, well, then you don't know me very well. Google it.

Later in the day, daddy (AKA "El Pyro"), decided it would be fun to taunt the fire department.

And the potential inferno aside...the best moments of the day???

The girls "riding" the hobby-horse I stole from my HS graduation party (not going to Hell for this particular sin). I KNEW I snagged this thing for a reason!

Well, that's a typical day in our life. Tears, blood, boogers, literary references, ironies, infernos, and last but not least???? I'm watching "Three Amigos" as I peace out, good night. My little buttercups.....

:)

My Little Vampire!

Dear God. The blood looks fake! But sadly, no. She picked her nose at bedtime. I guess she really WILL do anything to get our attention!

Cameras, Climbing, Cutting, Coordinating Clothes, Concerts, Craziness, Chalk, Quilts (same phonetic sound. don't get all up in a tizzy!), Cups, Cuddles, Cut out Cold Cuts, Chaos, and Congratulations!

Ready for it? This one's gonna be a long one. Why? Well, it's nothing really out of the ordinary. It's just that I have a lot to post and I don't really feel like breaking it into different topics! Deal with it or click on that little red X up there in the corner of your screen.

PART ONE - CAMERAS

I think she really IS sleeping in this one!

Here they are watching a show together. Quietly. Let's all take a moment of silence in memory of that lovely word that all too often escapes me now, as if I were reaching out into the darkness to grasp my sanity but only found my fingers wafting through the fog, finding nothing.

Me at island. Baby in room. Face in camera.

PART TWO: CLIMBING

On me. I've considered chopping off my hair so they can't reach my head anymore. But who are we kidding? They'd still find a way to make me their human jungle gym.

Eh. I'll keep the hair. It took forever to grow out.

PART THREE: CUTTING

Dan decided it would be a good idea to back the truck up into the backyard, throw a chain around each of the 22 trees that dies in last year's drought, and rip them out of the ground. Now they are all just sitting there. More to come on that later. They make for great areas of exploration and fun!

The kids had a fun time exploring the trees!

Here's Savannah. She so old, but she's still so pretty!

And with Deagan...

Now for the most recent events with the downed trees...

They got these pinwheels today. The call them magic wheels! It's MAGICAL!!!!

So...trying to get them to smile nicely at THE SAME TIME??? LOOKING IN THE SAME DIRECTION?!?!?!!? DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

PART FOUR: COORDINATING CLOTHES!

I got nothin' else to say about this.

PART FIVE: CONCERT FOR MOTHER'S DAY!

PART SIX: CRAZINESS

Some random, weird moments...okay, maybe some are cute!

The kids created their own water slide on a hot day.

Don't ask.

PART SEVEN: CHALK

Morgan is getting pretty good at drawing horses, right?!?!
I love their little faces!

This one is Carri,

This is Prancer,

This one is a wild horse,

This one lives in a barn!

PART EIGHT: QUILTS

Tell me this handmade, one-of-a-kind quilt I had made for Dan out of my Flyers jersey isn't the awesomest thing ever!!!

PART NINE: CUPS

Let's be honest. After my AP seniors take the AP test in early May, that's kind of it for us. Sure, we do little things here and there, but they, AND I, are DONE! So Avery came in to visit us the other day and had a BLAST being the "doctor" to my AP kids! And believe you me....they are in need of some "Docka Avery" love! Lots of fun!

Don't ask why we have keg cups.
Kidding.

PART TEN: CUDDLING

I got home to the kids "hiding" from me to surprise me! Ha!

And then most of the afternoon was spent like this....especially with Morgan taking care of Avery! Ah. There are some really wonderful moments! Morgan got Avery all cuddled up with her earmuffs and little baby seat!

PART ELEVEN: CUT OUT COLD CUTS
Yeah, it's a little "Dwight-Schrute-Hannibal-Lechter-ish", but it was funny!

Yeah. This one is impressive!

PART TWELVE: CHAOS! (Via Video!)

PART THIRTEEN: (of course), CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

You did it! (And so did I!!!!!! Holy cow that was a lot of stuff to get through! But my kids, though I'm sure you're all aware by now are kooky and crazy and chaotic? Yeah, they're also incredibly ADORABLE! (Yes, I'm aware that the alliterated pattern has been broken. That's kind of the ironic point, like Blake's "near rhyme" of "Tyger, Tyger, burning bright/In the forests of the night/What immortal hand or eye/Could frame thy fearful symmetry" ( and unless you're Cartman from "South Park", those last two lines are near rhymes. Hello, ironic strategies. Hello, controlled chaos. Hello my wonderfully hysterical life!

:)
