Spring Break with Mom Mom and Pop Pop!

What an awesome week off! Not only did Mom Mom and Pop Pop come to visit, which is super because I actually get some down time, but they also had a blast with the kids! There's nothing like watching the girls pull Pop Pop all over the place, putting barrettes in his hair, serving him tea, sticking him in the toy house outside, or making him sit in a chair to play soccer. He took it all in stride and loved every minute of it! Morgan and Mom Mom made their bi-annual gingerbread house complete with icing and candy, too! They made one this past Christmas in GA and Morgan couldn't stop talking about it! So...Mom Mom got another one and brought it with her!

Morgan gets to pick ONE piece of candy to eat a day. It lives in our microwave so the dogs can't get it.

Here's one of Morgan giving Pop Pop a "bath!"

The week was a lot of fun for Morgan, too, because Friday was "Special Friend or Grandparent" day at school! She and the other kids put together a cute little program complete with songs and rain sticks! The kids even decorated jars to put homemade oatmeal in! Here are some pics mom took during the song. I have video but have to figure out how to add it!

After Mom Mom and Pop Pop left, the fun didn't end. Please note that it was NOT my idea to put a helmet on number 2 but she insists on wearing hats of any kind outside!

Once the special helmet came off, she figured she'd have fun with the pancakes...

And of course feed Morgan's pony!

Ya know, I always tell mom how weird Avery is. I tell everybody that, and people are always like, "Well, she's just a baby. I'm sure it's totally normal."
Yeah, no. She's weird.
I have no other word to describe the silly little things that she does....

She lays on her back on the stairs and slithers down.
She pretends that her baby "jumps out of her hands" and falls down.
She pretends the babies head butt her.
She deliberately runs into things and says, "Look at me!"
In fact, everything she does is accompanied by, "Look at me!"
She's going to be a little Evel Knievel!
She goes outside with her baby and puts in it the swing, pulls back, lets go, baby sings and comes back, hitting Avery in the face, to which she says, "HAHAHAHAHA!"
She falls and thinks it's funny.
She finds all of the poop putside for me so I can pick it up with the scooper. But finding it means that she yells at the top of her lungs, "POOP! THERE'S POOP RIGHT THERE! POOP! A BIG PILE OF POOP!"
I'm sure that the neighbors love the announcements.
She LOVES the Flyers and knows the logo like the back of her hand.
She runs around the house naked yelling, "Im fast!"
She always wants to see her poop in the dirty diaper. She then wraps it up and throws it away for me.
She cleans with determination. Including my shower.
She LOVES "Your Baby Can Read" and knows it all by heart.
She pushes her stroller around at the speed of light with everything falling out of it.
She build towers the shrieks with glee when she gets to destroy them.
She loves to eat popsicles up until the very last bite...then she's apparently done. It's one bite. Really?
She HAS to pick her own clothes, silverware, and diapers. If you try to put Elmo on and she wants Big Bird..good luck!!!!

And then there's this...

Sorry for the blur, but this was hysterical.
Knee pads, wet diaper, mut in mouth, squatting up and down, up and down.  Up and down, up and down.
Like she was a gym rat beast! Oh my goodness, she's a hoot!

:)
