My Kids are Risk Takers and Mess Makers - Yay For My Nerves.

Risk Takers:
Dear God, why am I filming this instead of stopping it?

Mess Makers:
A few nights ago, I was sitting at the island when I heard from behind me, at the top of the stairs, "Mommy, look at me!" which is a sentence you NEVER want to hear come out of Avery's mouth because it is NEVER followed by anything even remotely resembling a clean/good/exciting/fascinating/peaceful time. It usually involves poop/water all over the floor/toilet paper in the sink/food being dumped/tornadoes hitting the playroom kind of stuff. So I turned around, expectantly, and saw her at the top of the stairs in her pj's.... No worries! She seemed fine!

"Yeah, great Avery!"

"No, Mommy, really LOOK at me!!!!"

And she sauntered down the stairs with glee.

And I lost a little more sanity.

Because she looked like a greased pig! See the video:

She was covered in, what I later discovered, was a quarter of a bottle of Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Now I know you're all thinking, "At least is wasn't peanut butter!" But let me tell ya...a thick layer of soapy goo all over her face and hair doesn't come off easily! I had to scrape the stuff off of her face with a rag - repeatedly. That didn't go over well. And her hair? Well, because she played in the tub for like 30 minutes before we started washing it, it kind of, well, hardened! I went to rinse it out, and as you'll recall, she had pulled it straight over her hair from the middle part down to her ears. So when she leaned back for me to rinse it, and I poured the water over her head, the water just trickled down and did absolutely NOTHING to remove the cemented goo in her hair! It took forever to rinse all that stuff out!

So, um, yeah. That's my crazy life with my crazy kids and my crazy hubby and it's crazy fun!

We are Family!

We NEVER get all four of us in one shot! So here we are! Of course, there's always something wrong with a picture - my gym sculpted biceps look huge thanks to my hair's shadow (and, well...they're kind of huge anyway thanks to training!), Avery's looking in another direction, Morgan is trying too hard to smile, etc). But oh well, it's US!

Fun This Fall of 2013

Above: Yeah, her tooth's still jacked up. I tell people that she got in a bar fight.

Below: At a b-day party. Morgan's good friend was there to have a blast with her!

Avery wants to be Tinkerbell. Just say a prayer that she won't want to fly.

How can they pay so much attention to the TV and none to me?

They made some sort of car or train. Or mess.

Even better...they made a little TV watching cuddle station...

Morgan spilled bunny hay everywhere. So we talked about how a good cowgirl cleans up her messes. She did!

Although she kept trying to vacuum me!

Morgan "read" this book to me today!

Sometimes they like to torture (dress up) the dog. Which is fine with me because this is the bratty dog who likes to pee and poo in my house. Because of her, the other dogs feel obligated to mark their territory. Oh...and Savannah is just too old and decrepit to mosey on outside, so she quite often just poos in the piano room, too. But back to this dog, Sydney....serves her right. Karma is a bitch!

Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

 HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

HEHEHEHEHEHE

HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!!!!!

Serves ya right, Syd. Go ahead. Keep peeing in my house.....

Morgan painting stuff...

Then Avery tried to help but Morgan is kind of possessive....

Morgan playing in her room....her toys "talk" to each other in a very high pitched little voice. But it's cute. She could do this for hours!

Pumpkin Picking 2013!!!

Here we go!!!

Cows...

So of course Morgan goes running!!!

Pretty cow. Let's not forget that last year, one cow decided to lick my entire arms with an anaconda swirl.

Does Morgan know that this cow is coming?
Nope!!!

Still no clue....

Holy COW!!! (Couldn't help it.)

Moo.

Avery had fun with the cows, too.

She TRIED to lick me....but I was to crafty and elusive!

Pretty sure this one isn't gonna charge anytime soon. The flies that were all over her did....(of course. See previous fly entries).

Running to the goats (as opposed to running from the bulls)

More baby cows. They MOOed a lot.

More running....but then again, does she ever stop???

Feeding the babies

And of course....the goats!!!! They were too busy eating, though, to come say hi!

Can you imagine how difficult it is for them to pick ONE pumpkin?!??!!

But Avery did!!!!

Then I spent over an hour gutting four pumpkins. Ouch! But the toasted seeds were DELICIOUS!!!
