And at that point it's usually too late to go back in the house and go searching for something else.
Anyway, we discovered Ariel in the arm rest that morning, so we decided to play it! Fabulous, right? It's an hour and a half trip and it's an hour and an almost half movie, so this sounds great! Right?!
Problem #1: I didn't get off on the right exit and I knew it, but still, it was a 20 minute addition to the ride. Now the movie will be over before we get there.
Problem #2: It SKIPPED!!!!!!! A LOT!!!!!!! So I spent a good chunk of time holding the FF button, trying to force it to play nicely in the sandbox. "Mommy, what's wrong? Mommy, you're making it skip!"
"No, girls, I'm trying to get it to work"
"But Mommy it's not working"
"Ya don't say"
Repeat. A lot.
Anyway, once we got all of the skipping dealt with, we had this to deal with...

Thank you, reverse camera.
Anyway, it was a BEAUTIFUL day out on the water! Happy Father's Day!
Morgan trying to get by me!
Nice to know they can still make a mess wherever they go!
Other people having fun, too.
Dan's next cockamamie plan...
The Blue Lagoon....
And we thought it was supposed to fit in this bag....
But apparently the bag is an "anchor bag," which makes a whole lot more sense! Turns out, for all of its cumbersome size, it was so awesome! Yes, I know...I admit that he's right!!!
Morgan trying to go through again...
Now Avery tries.
Avery...."SURPRISE!!!!!!!"
"I can drive a boat!!!!" (Look out, world!)
Rule #1: NO RUNNING!!!!!
Avery: "huh?"
Pic of the docks
And another...
Yes, I still panic.
But sometimes, not so much....
No, Morgan isn't holding a gun. It's a lily pad in the distance. Aren't the three of them cute, though?!
It's a really beautiful thing to watch your two babies enjoy the water as much as you do...
:)
The next day we drove home, and I mentioned to Morgan that we should clean up her room. She balked, of course.
We watched Ariel again - yelled at Ursula, "You're going DOWN sea witch!", "No, Eric! Go get Ariel!", "YES!!!!!"
And Morgan said when we got home that I was supposed to stay in the kitchen and NOT go to her room! Okay, um, sure.
So we got home. I unpacked, got things put away, laundry, etc.
FINALLY, Morgan said, "Okay, Mommy! Come up here!"
And what did I find?!?!?!
A perfectly cleaned up room and a PICNIC waiting for me!!!! Hooray!!!!!!
