Back to the barn!
We haven't been to the barn in months because it's just so darn COLD, but Morgan has been asking to go, so we bundled up and headed over!
Avery in the middle of the ring.....she made snow angels out there. Hopefully there wasn't poop under that snow!
Morgan was so excited to give this little charm to Cari - it's for her bridle!
Yes, that was Avery out in the ring again. At one point, she had to go inside and go potty. So Michelle's daughter, Mariah, and I, waited while Avery went. Then Avery came out of the potty...and she was sort of putting her finger in her mouth, sucking on it, taking it out and looking at it, then repeating the process. As I looked more closely, I realized....no.....NO.......NOOOOOOO....IT'S A BOOGER!!!!!!
"Avery!!!!!! What are you doing?!??! You can't eat boogers!" (and I frantically searched for a tissue or a piece of paper or SOMETHING to wipe it on when she busted out with...)
"But Mommy, it's okay. I like it"
(You should have seen Mariah's face!!!!!!)
"What?!?!? No, Avery, no. You can't et boogers. They're germy and gross and yucky and well, just gross!"
And at this point she's looking at me with furrowed brows. She stormed by me to the door, turned around and said (and I WISH you could have heard the adolescent tone in her voice)
"Guys....let's just not talk about this, okay?"
And dear God, typed letters do NOTHING to convey the look on her face or the seriousness of her voice as she proclaimed, to her anyway, the truth of all truths....
Anyway, here she is with a booger face:
Prancer and Reese
In this one, she said that she was "stuck" and "frozen" and that her legs wouldn't move. Maybe that's what eating boogers does to you.
Here's the charm on Cari
Avery had fun kicking all of the frozen poop.
They got to ride bareback in the barn! Avery was a little unsure at first, but loved it as soon as she figured out that they weren't going to fall off!
Feeding them hay.
Michelle gave them calendars for Christmas. When we got home, Morgan spent an hour drawing on every single page. Here are some of her masterpieces.
Cari in the barn with the moon shining.
Cari tied to the post with her purple lead rope.
